Chapter 44: Cycling, Faith, and a Sacred Morning

My Unplanned Spiritual Journey

Sometimes, life leads us exactly where we need to be, rather than where we planned to go. My morning began just like that—simple, quiet, and filled with a mysterious spiritual energy.

1. The Divine Pull

I set out on my bicycle, chanting Lord Hanuman’s name in my heart, enjoying the crisp morning air. I was just wandering, but somewhere along the way, my path shifted. Without even realizing it, I found my cycle coming to a halt right in front of the temple. It wasn't a coincidence; it felt like a silent call from the Divine. Standing there at the temple's threshold with 'Prasad' in my hands, I felt a sense of peace that surpassed all understanding.

2. The Echo of Faith and a Mother’s Belief

The most emotional moment of this journey happened when I called my mother from the temple. As the temple bells rang in the background, the sound reached her through the phone. Without seeing a single image, just by hearing that sacred sound, she said:

"Child, I heard the bells... I have received my Darshan right here at home."

That moment taught me that devotion knows no physical distance. True faith can bridge miles and deliver a divine experience to a seeking heart anywhere.

3. The Final Blessing: Shiva, Parvati, and Ganesha

The journey reached its beautiful completion on my way back. Under the shade of a large tree by the roadside, I came across a small, serene shrine of Lord Shiva, Goddess Parvati, and Lord Ganesha. Stopping my cycle to bow my head and join my hands felt like the final seal of divine approval on my morning journey. It was as if the universe was ensuring I returned home fully blessed.

Spiritual Conclusion

This morning taught me a profound lesson: "Surrender is the highest form of Yoga." When we let go of our rigid plans and trust a higher power, we are guided by the hand to exactly where we belong. The temple, the Prasad, my mother’s words, and the final sight of the holy family under the tree—it was all a reminder that God is with us at every step. We only need to keep our eyes and hearts open.

Thought for the Day: "Whether it is a journey on a bicycle or the journey of life—if the Divine is your navigator, the destination will always be one of absolute peace."
